Yes, NJ is a great place to own my house. Would you like to pay my $14,500 tax bill on my NJ McCrapsion? The town just raised the assessment on my house. So now I get to pay more taxes to Christie.

"my NJ McCrapsion" that's funny. Do you happen to live by any of the Real Housewives of New Jersey? They also have McMansions - some are very interesting, the houses are interesting the RHNJ are crazy.

janejoey - if his taxes are only $14,500, then his house is nothing like their's are - those types of houses would have taxes of $30,000 and up. In a town with good schools in NJ, $14,500 of taxes equates to a $500-750k house.

Oh ok. He said "McCrapsion" so i thought it was a reference to "McMansion". I think two of the Housewives are having to auction (or sell) their houses, so it was making the news. one might even had started foreclosure, though I'm not sure.

Riversider, there are all kinds of options.
some money buys in the usual suspect train towns, pays the taxes and makes full use of that town's excellent amenities.
some money buys "farmland" out in western morris, somerset or hunterdon counties and does private. different strokes.

and say what you will about the pres, alpine is one of the most expensive areas in the county, and $14.5k isn't much, if anything, more than most $1.5 million condos will wind up paying in taxes in areas in nyc that will have less attractive schools.
if you can deal with the commute, and you have more than one kid, it's really not a tough financial equation at all. emotionally, that's another story.

NJ is a good place to be FROM, but not good place to LIVE, if that makes sense. I got one of the best public school educations possible way back when (my hs was rated in the top 20 nationally). My town was safe, clean, close to the beach and an hour from Manhattan. Way better than Long Island, that's for sure.

Christie might have done something smart. He cancelled the Hudson River tunnel to Penn Station. But now he supports extending the 7 line to NJ, which would cost NJ a lot less since NY and NYC would be picking up most of the tab.

BENNY: Brooklyn, Elizabeth, Newark, New York
... it's a traditional reference by locals/townies to that paticyalah shaw clientele.
NJ is a good place to be FROM, but not good place to LIVE, if that makes sense. I got one of the best public school educations possible way back when (my hs was rated in the top 20 nationally). My town was safe, clean, close to the beach and an hour from Manhattan. Way better than Long Island, that's for sure.
so...let's have it. where did you grow up? since you're volunteering the info
i'll guess. train town?
Class reunion?
With boner?
Yuck.
cc, i did not grow up in the lovely garden state. my expertise in all things nj is recently acquired.

report abuse so...let's have it. where did you grow up? since you're volunteering the info
an hour from manhattan, on the ocean. yes, there was a train. let me guess, you grew up somewhere cooler right?
Columbiacounty, you ought to clean up your language and innuendo, and consider contributing or being quiet.
From the jersey shore to the second avenue bus.
Wow
Shut up riversider
RED BANK!!!! are you jay or silent bob??
Jim where are you talking about?
yup cc. upwardly mobile. i wasnt born a rich piece of shit like you. i suggest you google rumson and fairhaven nj. if you grew up somewhere nice, let me know.
columbiacounty, Riversider hasn't posted for an hour. You've become like a delayed email, out of touch. Seriously, if you have something to contribute then let us hear it.
btw, where did you comme from? i haven't posted in probably 10 days or so BUT THE MINUTE I DO, you're all over it. get a life.
there is no train in rumson, pants on fire
Thanks
Give it up riversider.
lucillemisse, CUNT, how many towns did i name? you must know that part of the state pretty well. who the fuck are you anyway? some stupid piece of snatch weighing in for how many days now?
Oh boner you lied about the train?
Lame and lamer.
Jim - unnecessary
Riversider. You have to be more careful about your friends.
Columbiacounty - unnecessary
Which part?
Columbiacounty, I just took a quick read of your posts, none have substance. Why?
c-cunty no lies. trains, ferries, everywhere. what were the transportation options where you grew up? how do you automatically know it when i post?
You know how it works.
You dont get to ask the questions.
columbiacounty, please, are you even interested in real estate or NYC?
easy! i was curious. there is no need for that kind of language. are you going to come clean or not?
Who are you?
come clean?
Did you just ask someone on the Internet who he was?
How about we start with who are you?
Listen, you haven't said a word about New Jersey. Or New York or real estate for that matter.
There's no reason for you to be here.
My last posting was directed to columbiacounty.
You appeared here eight days ago and have been posting like a lunatic.
Excuse me?
come clean?
yes, neither rumson nor fairhaven, though beautiful very expensive towns, have a train. people take the ferry to lower manhattan. my other guess was red bank. i just want to know! no c-word!!!!
So...who are you?
you've gained another fan you low life piece of shit. or this "another variation of the troll"? riversider perhaps? hfs?
go fuck your ugly girlfriend lucille, who sounds like she grew up near me, and likes to split hairs (rumson, fairhaven LITTLE SILVER) NJ
I'll assume you are asking me.
Who am I? I'm a poster on an internet message board about real estate topics in NYC.
Who are you?
ahh little silver. the poor red headed step cousin. yeah, not on my list.
lucille - not helpful
lucille, shame that you can't live in any of them. lovely towns. more or less the same place really. little silver's got the train. but i guess you knew that.
he called me a very bad word
Explains boners chip.
Always wanted to come from big silver.
Oh well.
At least he's made it to the bus.
Nice going boner
of course, as i say, fine place to grow up, wouldn't chose to live there again. the choices my parents made aren't the choices i will make. sounds like you still live in jersey? pity
Poor boner.
stick up for your bitch, cc go on. you havent said yet how it is you know exactly when i post. does your little cock have jonesy radar?
Big bad boner
columbiacounty, you've added no value. You are like some sort of Kim Jong-un adolescent trying to prove something.
Oh my.
Jim you aren't adding much value either.
And your value is?
I was having a discussion about New Jersey.
You?
That's a bad joke.
Your value is discussing NJ?
Are you serious?
Ok, ok we get it, you don't like New Jersey and you are really adamant about it. You are a cool New Yorker.
Tell some jokes about Newark and Camden.
Give us some Tony Soprano comments.
You are so cool.
Say something about bridge and tunnel. Give us a snide joke about the PATH.
Tell me I'm from an exit number you don't like.
Come on columbiacounty, tell me that New Jersey is responsible for the US Senate or some other historical crap.
cc and hones you should exile yourselves from this site. You're are both a disgrace. The language is pathetic. You make me sick, you losers.
huntersburg, you're getting carried away. great place to be FROM (just look at all the famous folks). a place to live? not if you are serious about yourself. im no friend of cc, but it's second fiddle.
Which particular language of mine are you criticizing?
Enough of this discussion.
columbiacounty hates New Jersey because he is really cool. And the rest of this is unnecessary.
Julia? Can you be specific ?
And
By the way
I don't hate NJ.
I hate liars.
who's a liar cc?
Christie might have done something smart. He cancelled the Hudson River tunnel to Penn Station. But now he supports extending the 7 line to NJ, which would cost NJ a lot less since NY and NYC would be picking up most of the tab.
