Artichoke's @ 328 East 14th Street. It's in the Village but very close to Union Square. I know it's not on the UWS, but it's good.

Patsys is the best "thin crust" pizza, unfortunately they don't deliver. Perfecto is a solid choice for delivery or for a simple cheese slice. For creative toppings, Two Boots.

There's no good pizza on the UWS. The closest is Che Bella on Amsterdam, 119-120th.
I need to remind everyone that good pizza is sold also by the slice, so pie-only places get disqualified as mainland messes.

Nothing really great up here in the West 90s, especially since I'm not a Sal & Carmine's person. (Alan, I will check Che Bella out).
Perfecto does an okay slice and a better pie if you're ordering in -- try their spinach.

Every slice and any slice tastes terrible when you are underwater. But as a renter, my kids loves Francesco. So if you are 7 or 5 yo, I'd recommend it. But only if you are financially able to handle it. Home'owners should only be eating $.69 ramen specials at sam's club.

sorry, jm, missed that. but one pizza place for the entire UWS? maybe you're just a die-hard fan.
maybe get out more often, but not with more variety? and you have a kid, of the relatively minted sort, with another one along the way.
i suspect alan gets out more often than you do.

I agree with the viewpoint of many of the posters so far that there isn't a lot of great pizza in the UPW. I think Patsy's is the best in the area. I also like Fairway Cafe's pizza. Especially as a little reward for myself along with a beer or two for battling through a weekly Fairway shopping trip.

Worst is Two Boots (should have been named Too Expensive) on 96th and Broadway.

I'm bored with Patsy's/Dean's. Perfecto is tasty. Rigoletto was unmemorable for me. Haven't tried the others.

Go down to Chelsea - Company. NE corner of 9th Avenue and 24th Street. Best pizza in all five boroughs.
Anywhere in Brooklyn.

Yeah, its a wasteland. I like Cheesy... which is also spelled Cheezy (they had two competing signs).
