I go away for a few days, and all is falling apart here. How could someone not have posted this article about one "Vitaly Borker"? I go away for a few days, and all is falling apart here. How could someone not have posted this article about one "Vitaly Borker"? What are you doing, w67th: put down the glossies and read some proper news! http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/28/business/28borker.html?_r=1&src=twt&twt=nytimes&pagewanted=all It's basically about some guy who runs an online eyewear business where it is his marketing strategy to get highly-negative feedback online by being very rude to customers & making possibly criminal threats. The negative feedback drives up his Google ranking. Not RE-related outside of two things. First, the name "borker" and the cliche of a person who enjoys screwing the customer. Second, I wonder if some antagonistic supposed brokers who hang out here should perhaps go public as a way of driving their business. [less]

What a jerk.
it really says something when w67 is rendered almost speechless
i note that we're seeing less of jim_hones lately. maybe j ho got so much new business that he doesn't have time to post on SE anymore.
67 was making a joke
"..seen.." "..eyewear.."
Get it?
Speaking of eyewear, did anyone else note "Oliver Peoples" in the article?

Federal charges for Borker. Sounds like a layup conviction to me.
Woops....
A little side-note: When Vitaly bought his house in 2005, ACRIS scanned his form NYC-RPT, complete with his and the seller's Social Security numbers. Maybe an on-the-ball victim is making hay with it already.
