@ alanhart: not really. it just isn't funny. there's nothing unexpected or particularly ironic in it. It's pretty simplistic. The kind of stuff kids come up with. It's like most of the interpersonal crap on here--clearly the people typing it back and forth think they are just chock-full-o bons mots but its 99% just stupid. My guess is these posters who engage in most of the personal stuff are the kinds of people who think they are just the life of the party but are, in reality, the ones everyone else dreads getting stuck talking to. And when on exceedingly rare occasions when there is a flash in self-awareness, these same bores just convince themselves everyone else are a-holes who just don't "get" them are their very evolved reparte. It would serve them better to pause, if even for a second to ask if maybe, just maybe, everyone else is right and they are truly insufferable.

Every summer we are faced with the SoHip / NoHip dilemma. Kid says ice cream vendors are better in NoHip (she prefers her bars frozen like they've been dipped in liquid nitrogen) but I prefer the adult refreshments offered in SoHip, namely at BoBa or PI.
