Discussion about
I'd like some opinions on how long it should take for an architect to prepare proper drawings for the construction bidding process. It is for a full gut renovation on a 1400 square foot loft. Some intricate mill work, but nothing out of the ordinary
About a month from measuring the apartment. Should be one or two consults along the way for you to weigh in on different design schemes without them being fully developed into construction drawings which would just be a waste for the rejected ones. If it ran a tad over a month I'd understand too. But time is money here since you are paying for an empty apartment and the architect should be responsive and sensitive to this.
I was thinking about this more--I think it took us about 6 weeks actually for what you describe for a jr-four gut reno.
