Discussion about
In our coop's latest newsletter: "...House Rules state clearly that subletting of apartments is prohibited, except under extraordinary circumstances. Be aware that anyone who stays in your apartment when you are away, even for a vacation, is considered a sublet, whether or not you receive rent. Of course, whenever you are living in your apartment, guests are welcome." Really? THIS constitutes a sublet?

Standard house rules in co-ops and condos. Not enforced, though, except when it's obvious the guest has moved in or the place is being treated as a hotel room.

usually these types of letters are issued when there has been an outstanding issue - perhaps someone went on an extended vacation and had someone living there for several months, and this person caused problems. Or someone was treating a pied-a-terre as a hotel room for their friends/family. Going away for a week and having a friend housesit shouldn't be an issue.

I suggest self-watering plants.
