Discussion about
Is it normal for a super to get all these perks: 1. Decent base salary..assuming over 70k 2. 2 bedroom apt in building facing park avenue 3. Free Parking space near building 4. $35k in OT 5. 1 month bonus from management company Is it a requirement for coops to have a live in super?

Live-in (or nearby) super is required if heating system runs on oil. A live-in super is considered a highly desirable feature for residential buildings, because there's an assumption that he'll run a tighter ship if it's also his home, and if he's there 24/7 to see all the little details and goings-on, and of course in case of an emergency.

It's only required in a rental building. But you live in a park ave coop and are complaining about your super's parking space?

the parking is external to building and $300 per month...and not every park ave coop is filled with rich folks...
