What do folks think the impact will be of the marine transfer station scheduled to be built and run through Asphalt Green? It looks like it will happen since two lawsuits have failed to prevail, one final one is on appeal, and the NYS legislature has let a bill that would stop it, languish. I am wondering what its impact will be on Gracie Gardens and other properties on East End Ave near 90th.
lovely article in the NYT today
This neighborhood has been a great discovery - esp area around york and low eighties is just beautiful. Everything is right there, yet a bit more residential vive than 2nd and third ave. Only drawback is subway is about 10+ mins walk.
i don't understand how anyone who has actually visited that area could possibly support this massive garbage station. how in the world does this make sense to anyone? it's a residential area with parks and playgrounds. this is like a sick joke.
I am sure the folks at 170 and 180 EEA as well as Henderson Place will be thrilled.
