Discussion about
So, we abandoned the west village because it just didn't seem possible. What do you think about finding a 1br in a doorman or at least a nice elevator building in Chelsea, Union Square, or true Gramercy (not too far north or east) for $3200 or under? I would spend up to $3400 if there is no broker fee. Thanks!

Try 222 East 19th Street. Do a Streeteasy search. Doorman, no fee.

some of the cheaper buildings on 6th ave. Check Chelsea Tower, I think you'll find well under that. Also 666 sixth ave. Even Archstone chelsea, or the capital (capitol?) or vanguard.
