building at 56 Strong Place

this is a very nice quiet block. around the corner from a great school. prices are just insane. i'm guessing they didn't take the queue from 28 Carroll. price correctly and sell out instantly. they'll be lingering for a long time. if they have fantastic NYC views, then some people would pick a few up. that's not the case here.

Took a look at this place last weekend and was pretty impressed. But asking a price per square foot that is a bit absurd for the area. Seems like about 40% are in contract. Anyone have any thoughts as to the actual price they are getting for those in contract - and what those remaining should go for?

i went to look at the apartments. they have a lot of charm. the area is really nice as well. but in my opinion, they are way overpriced. a lot of them are duplexes, and the apartments feel small.

Over priced and much smaller than alleged SF in the description. I was disappointed

Does anybody know if the listing prices have stayed the same since the opening? Are they open to price reductions?

I went there yesterday and spent about 2 hours looking at apts in the building. At first I was like Wow, but then I noticed that the flooring in 1G was starting to buckle in the bdrm and there was a repaired spot in the ceiling where most likely water damage was. I don't think the floors are real wood and I suspect they are glued to a subfloor as there was excess glue between the strips in some apts. I think it's waaay overpriced. You can get a nice condo on the UWS for less than $1mm. Maybe not as big, but at least it would be in a quality building and location.
