I never do this, but I felt compelled to write on this listing. This is a construction project. Needs a ton of work which they failed to mention in the description, and conveniently photographed around. You're going to have to pump hundreds of 000's into it. Maybe the agent will change his"DREAMY PENTHOUSE' blurb on this so he can actually market to the right audience. When I asked him why he so misrepresented the state of the place he told me that it should have been implied that it needed a ton of work when someone saw the Sq. Footage Vs Price. No, Mr. Douche, it didn't. Additionally, the listing doesn't have the Sq. Ft'age - A point a brought up - but was told that it didn't need to be listed because the floor plan was online.
Bottomline - It's a waste of time if your looking for what they describe.

What kind of work does it need. Curious because the photos really do make it look pretty decent with the redone floors, newish looking kitchen. I think I saw some water damage to a ceiling near the stares, but it was very hard to tell. And what, btw, is a "museum quality" column? Any how, do tell--what did you see that needed work other than the pretty raw outdoor space.

I can tell you what's wrong without even going.
Look at the floorplan, and note the location of the fireplace in relation to the windows, and the location of the stairs.
Now look at the pictures.
The floorplan they show, and the pictures are two different units.
tosaveyoutime - did you see the unit actually pictured, or the unit as shown on the floorplans?

The plan is for 5E, not 5B. It's wrong on BHS's site too. With only five listings, you'd think Mr. Michaels could attend to these little details.

From what I gathered this was a very customized apartment for the previous owner. I guess either they, or the person/company that is selling it now, thought it would be more marketable to rip everything out basically leaving you with a shell of what could be. The floors in the living room are as they appear in the photo - polished hard wood. The kitchen does have some nice appliances and is very open. The outdoor space is pretty spectacular. The rest, is where you will find your work... Aside from the 'little stuff' like a door to the bedroom(s) - there are exposed wires and plumbing all over the place. They ripped up the tub / shower / pulled out light fixtures around the apartment - walls appear to be half removed from the 'loft' area, which by the way has about 6ft or so of clearance. In other words, if you are not a ten year old, you will find it to be extremely clostrophobic. My problem with this place was really the misrepresentation in the description and the douchey-ness of the agent that was there at the time. I hope this helps - As mentioned - I usually don't write these things, and will probably not check back in on this. Good luck with the search -
