Discussion about
what can you tell me about this development?
Rental disguised as a Condo.
This building seems to be part of a small area of new development buildings which remind me of a very small self-enclosed neighborhood. You have a few stores on the ground level of the buildings (supermarket, wine shop, etc). If you walk along the street by the water, the buildings look very appealing but if you walk on the block behind the buildings, it seems quite deserted. Not that far from the busier parts of the UWS, but the few blocks walk is empty of pedestrians. Maybe others who live closer to these developments have a different view of the area.
Depends what you are looking for, Whole Foods is there at Columbus Circle and Jubilee on Freedom Place.
If you are looking for a cleaning store, Extell will undoubtedly provide, however unless you are willing to travel to Hell's kitchen or the upper West Side you are not likely to see the same breadth of restaurants or stores providing basic services. Of course they are adding to Riverside Park, so that's a plus.
64th and RSB falls in the middle for convenience. It's 2.5 long blocks on 65th or 66th to Broadway.
The north end of RSB isn't bad, as it's just half a long block to 72nd with its deli, dry cleaners, and restaurants.
The worst would be 68th and RSB, as you're cut off by Lincoln Towers' brick wall running all the way from 66th to 70th.
