The Chesapeake House (201 E 28th St)

The prices seem to be reasonable compared to similar sized buildings further downtown. Maintanence is slightly high and the common areas are not quite up to snuff with its downtown neighbors, but the location is decent.

The chesapeake house is really a fantastic building, from a renters perspective. The staff are sincere and helpful, the hallways and elevators are very nice and the lobby is good enough for an area you spend 5 seconds a day in. The roof deck could use some sprucing. The on-site garage is incredible if you have a car. I have heard that the maintenance is high due to a law suit that the building filed against a nearby bar, one that became costly and in the end was unsuccessful. But I think its a great place to live and for it's post war architecture some of the floor plans are surprisingly unique.
