Dear Tenant,

I am very sorry to hear that you had a negative experience living in 416 Lafayette Street and that you felt you had to submit an anonymous complaint rather than speaking with us directly to ameliorate any issues you were experiencing. I am not aware of any tenants that are a nuisance at the premises - however when brought to our attention we will take the appropriate action, including legal action where necessary. Since 2007 we have hired a new exterminator for the premises. We have undertaken a rehab of the common spaces on the ground floor and will do the upper floors in the coming months. Tenants may submit maintenance requests M-F by telephone and anytime through our website. If tenants are not satisfied with the maintenance performed they can request further service. For an elevator building with open-floor layouts, laundry and live-in super in location that is the gateway to the East Village and Greenwich Village, we hope that you continue to find that 416 Lafayette offers a compelling value. We really do hold ourselves to a higher standard than the situation you described in your post and again I am sorry you had this experience. Thank you.
