Flmaoz. Is the impending re increases starting to give you pause? Hmmmmmm. Who on SE has been tweeting about the re tax as a huge budget closer for our fine pensioned govt employees.

please update me, how much will RE taxes increase? from 2011 on? i think overall it'd be good news if gov looks for the increase in revenue needed in inelastic goods (like a land value tax) instead of in labor, that already brings a great deal of the gov revenue.

land taxes are almost 0 right now. they used to be the backbone of gov taxation pre-WWII, bringing that back and decreasing taxation of earned income would be a good idea imho.

This is where it's going.
ttp://www.nyc.gov/html/omb/downloads/pdf/fp11_10.pdf

Ledger 2011 2014 increase over 2011
---------------------------------------------
Salaries 21816 21848 0.1466813%
Pensions 7012 8441 20.3793497
FR bfts 7616 9152 20.1680672%

Clearly it's not base salaries that are a problem but benefits and pensions which are growing at astronomical rates.
