Chin Chin not related to Cafe Chin Chin or Burlington Industries.

embarrassing. sledge, when i first read your comment i thought, "what, chin chin never served what i thought of as spam, i thought it was decent, has the food quality declined so greatly in the last few years?"

my age is showing. or maybe it's just the fact that my husband was an incredibly picky eater, and the only "meat" protein he would eat as a child was spam cut out into letters (and fried, of course).

Thatz a money deal. Thats like selling a lumber yard when the Irish carpenters were buying. Step aside as the bidding war erupts.

A serious question: Are these buildings really townhouses? 216 East 49th appears to be commercial. 313 East 53rd looks more like a low-rise tenement. 220 East 49th might have been single-family at some point, though it's multi now.

Also, the asking price for 313E53 reflects a 75% markup over a 2008 sale. Seems ambitious, assuming that was an arm's-length transaction. Has the rent roll or occupancy changed dramatically in the past three years?

not really east side girl (I don't think I've been to Chin Chin in 15 years) but that Turtle Bay strip of 49th should be row houses.
