Discussion about 56 Pine Street
This penthouse apartment is for rent (top floor - 16th floor). There are 14 windows located on all four sides of the apartment. The unit does not share any walls with any neighbors. The 2/3 subway is right across the street. In addition, the J/Z/M, 4/5, R/W, and 1 subway lines are all within walking distance (see map). If you are interested in this apartment, please contact Kenneth Shusterman at Douglas Elliman. In addition, you can contact me with any questions or comments on this discussion board. Sincerely, John Owner
How many square feet, how many bed/bath? What is the rent?
I am not sure why you would bother posting without this info?
I have no interest in dealing with a broker but would be interested.
You're right, I should of put that information in my message above. Here are the details: One Bed - One Bath - approximately 815 square feet - rent is $3,200. The following website has additional information regarding the apartment (i.e. floorplan, etc.):

I have an exclusive with a broker. With that in mind, he will need to be involved. Feel free to call the broker (Kenneth Shusterman at Douglas Elliman - 212-727-6103) to set up an appointment to view the apartment. If you still have an interest in the apartment, we can start discussions/negotiations through my broker.
Thank you for your initial interest.
Sincerely,
John

John, why would you post on here? Isn't it your broker's job to market the apartment. If you're going to do it yourself, why make it more difficult for people to rent (broker's fee would be ridiculous) for absolutely no work done except reading this message board on a post initiated by you. Doesn't make sense. Good luck though.
Looks like a studio converted to a one bedroom. 21 X 30 = 600 square ft. That square footage is quite small for a true one bedroom.
Good luck though
630 sorry still small
Yeah, Spunky. I don't get it. How do they have the gall to write "Approximately 815 sf PRIVATE..." When it's clearly not that size by the very floorplan they provide? i there some creative math I'm missing?
Not trying to be rude, but I have to say, $3200 seems quite overpriced for an apartment of that size in that building in the financial district. I'm paying $3300 for a significantly larger top-floor apartment in a prime West Village with nice views. I looked at 56 Pine with an intent to buy -- the building is OK, but there's no special ammenities or anything that would justify an extra price.
I am a believer in Financial District's growth, so it will become a great neighborhood in 2-4 years; but let's face it, the location is not quite worth premium pricing yet.
