Discussion about
Hi all, I have clients coming in from out-of-town who will probably want to stay on the Upper East Side. In the luxury range, I have a client who likes the Lowell--but does anyone have personal experience with a more mid-range hotel on the UES that they like? I'd like to offer more than one choice. thanks! ali r. DG Neary Realty

Yes, great location for tourists, I am not related to the hotel but know a lot of people who stayed there and really enjoyed.

I don't know anyone who has stayed there, but I have looked into it - the Franklin on E 87 between lex & 3rd. The rooms are small but cute. They do a small breakfast. It's another option.

I like the loews regency on park. They have 2 room suites that are nice, not too expensive for the space.

But I have to say, I've never understood the fascination for park ave; it's a huge highway, with tons of traffic. Just because there's flowers in the middle, doesn't mean it's not a trafficky highway.

Ali, a few years back I stayed at The Mark on Madison and 77th st and I really enjoyed it. The staff was very professional and the hotel had a nice vibe so I'ed stay there again.

Hopes this helps you.

Surrey. I think if used to a high touch hotel Fitz on Lex might not do it for them.
