Co-op - do i need to pay for gas?

was just transferred over a 1 bedroom co-op from an in-law.. always had condo, never co-op... newbie question.. since co-op maintenance pays for heat and gas.. ...do i sign up just for electric with the utility company?? grazi

I pay for gas too.

But if your co-op specifically said it pays for your gas, then I suppose all you'll need is the electricity.

pre-war typically pay for gas, post-war typically not.

of course con-ed will sell him everything they offer...you should only have to pay for electric.

Con Ed can't charge you for something they don't deliver. Plus, they're not interested in scamming one customer out of 8 million people.
