Not impressed. Very beat up, except for the kitchen, which is nice. It didn't help to pass a long line for what appeared to be a soup kitchen a few doors down the block.

It's back on the market. I wondered did anyone notice an issue about the floors. They sloped a lot for a building of that age and creaked at every step. Also, every square foot was padded with carpet and felt.

Light sleepers below?

Actually its unavailable, which I believe usually means the sale fell through. This is the third loft I have seen over the past few months that supposedly had multiple bids went to contract and fell through.

But I agree, it is not in great shape.

There is a open house this Sunday. Vanhugo, good observation. Looks like the floor below must be forcing them to use carpets.

Thanks, Mercer. It's odd how reluctant some brokers are to actually discuss the apartment they are trying to sell. The flooring crunching would be an issue for many buyers myself included. Better to ignore the elephant in the room, I guess. Of course for the right buyer it may not matter or he may know how to rectify the problem.

Broker mentioned that carpets are a must. No go for us.
