Needsadvice says that teachers are babysitters:

Max salary in NYC is over $100k... before overtime... and for the 180 day work calendar.
Take to 230 hours (4 weeks vacation, 10 holidays), the number even for cushier jobs.... that works out to an annualized salary of about $130k... still before overtime... and still before the generous benefits.
And LI pays more.
Now, mind you, I'm not averse to paying good teachers $100k... but that's not the case.
Only 5% of teachers make the top pay of $100k. I also think that only good teachers should get top pay. Luckily for us, Washington D.C. implemented a great system under Michelle Rhee to identify good teachers. It involves a standardized exam and erasers... lots of erasers.
check SeeThroughNY (google it) for exact info about teacher salaries throughout NYS.

yet supports the moronic notions that would do the opposite...
I was being sarcastic. Read the rest of my post that you quoted out of context.
Yes, I get that the only way you might ever be correct about something is if you are kidding...
