Or, the corporations could export the jobs, so that there are no wages to be paid here, and money earned stays abroad because of the punitive rates to bring it back to the U.S.

alanhart, i don't know the stats on this. but maybe because poor people are more likely to also be religious? or, at least, to live by their beliefs? also, completely based on nothing except what i see, catholics of all classes tend to keep their babies. of the girls i knew who got knocked up, it was starkly split down that line. the catholics kept them and their families helped raise them, everyone else - off to planned parenthood.
