Discussion about
Has anyone been in the house that is for sale at 45 Chester? Thoughts? Seems like a good deal compared to the one for sale at 63 Chester...

I was in it when it was on the market maybe 6 years ago. It must have been around $1.5 (or even less) back then. I remember it being quite nice - but totally overbuilt for the lot and street. Nicest house on the block - by far - which was not what I wanted. I would not spend $2+ in that location.

Even considering you can walk to the train/jitney and town? It also looks like there is a bit of building activity on Chester and the surrounding streets - several houses being renovated and a nice new one going up on the next street over. It might only be a matter of time before the village starts looking a lot nicer. It also seems like a great deal considering what the houses on Ludlow/Edgewood/Aelfies are asking now... which are much farther walks from town and transportation.

I agree Chester street much nicer than Lulow/Edgewood etc. I am just saying that my preference is to buy the crappiest house on the street, not the nicest. And this one was the nicest by far at that time. Can't imagine there has been such a drastic change on that street in the last couple of years. If your budget is $2M+ I would think you have much better options.
