I agree with BertaNY, anyone interested in the building, should walk around the corner on a Thursday-Friday-Saturday evening and see what the VUDU Lounge thing is, a red carpet private club disaster with people from the BRONX all over the streets with big mouths and noise, animals says BertaNY, no wild beasts, it's located between 77/78 St, west side of street, drive by a 4AM when it closes and watch the deal, the police arrive almost every night, some nights they are always around, I wouldn't want to live within blocks of this thing, not good at all, all the apartments are in deep deep trouble!!

i was in that area on new year's eve at the green kitchen diner after a wonderful dinner out. friends wanted to go to a diner as we walked around that evening. i thought about the green kitchen diner. was i embarrassed to walk around that area with my friends and friends in from italy. they could not believe this was 78th street. there were cops/ambulances; women on the street/drugged out. an argument broke out in the diner. this was about 4 a.m. cars double parked looking up to no good. the waiter said it was just new year's eve. normally, never like this. but i have experienced this block before, although not as awful as that night! interesting, i was looking at a studio at 345 e 77 street and the owner of the studio there had no idea of what was going on around the block....so i guess it depends on the times you are out and about.

Here's my confusion. Who do you think you're talking to in this little crusade? You're spamming these boards -- apparently because you were denied for some building at some point. But who are you hoping to convince? Us? We're not convinced.

So are you just hoping that whenever someone searches on this board for any building in that area, they'll find your little love notes? If so...dude, you need to get a grip. All anyone is going to think is "Christ, looks like this building was once visited by a real whack job."

Excuse me "generalogoun", but when I see an establishment that attracts an element of ? that obviously do not live in the area, hanging out on the pay phones yelling and cursing, I do have a right to my say that they are animals, cannibal, beasts or whatever especially when they behave as such. When I question my safety in an area that was once quiet and family oriented, that now looks like a jungle, I am allowed to speak the truth as it is.
And you are you calling a dick.........you GOON!

VUDO is a buppie bar.
I live as close to VUDO as 350 E77st and I can tell you that perhaps at 4AM on a party weekend at a diner 1/2 a block away you might see some after-hour shenanigans as you would ANYWHERE in the city at that time of night under those conditions. Perhaps if the revelers where white you might be some how relaxed but I can't imagine why. I'm not out at that hour but, in all the years that VUDO has been open drawing the same crowd it has been NO PROBLEM to the neighborhood. I didn't even know there was an issue until NYONE had an ax to grind with 350 E77.
VUDO is a big nothing.
People who care for their well being never eat at the Green Kitchen. What was once an institution has been reincarnated as a totally crappy diner...that's the real crime on 77th street.

teeman you crazy hater.........let it go...let it go....

Your only punihing yourself. it's not that great a building anyway and the local nightlife is a little 'off' color for you. I would suggest LIC. Quiet, family oriented and, fair value for space.
You will be happy you made the trip.

Falcogold1, your a LATENT RACIST, I'M A BLACK MAN, it seems to me your the hater, I too would call people who scream on the streets at 4AM names, pass by the place if you really live near there, the sign on the building says please be quiet and respect the neighborhood, obviously there are problems, I live not too far away as well and since noise travels up, I've had conversation the the police commander who essentially told me the community board has been all over him and he's doing the best he can, he doesn't want his people (officers) hurt or injured and after all in his precinct this is only one of two after hour bars. It would be nice if all you "genius" spammers do some research before your fingers do all the talking and have smart ass remarks.

dusk11200 - You are totally off-base. There was absolutely nothing racist in falco's comments. You object to the term "buppie", rather than "yuppie"? All he said was that at 4:00AM there are lots of other places in the city that can get a little noisy, and that he himself has never had a problem living in proximity to the Vudu Lounge.

Dear SE, enjoy the site, what it brings to the the own/rent RE enviro, the convos, yes can get lively at times, everyone recall 470 PAS, but really, at this point, this guy and his skatety eight different ids is a zero sum game.
