It is rental. It used to be an office building but but was converted to rental apartments in the late 1990's. In about 2006-2007, the owners got rid (most) of the renters and renovated the apartments (but I don't think they changed the floor plans) and sold them as high-end condos. I can't remember exactly what happened, but the developer sold a bunch of units but then backed out of the sales (I can't remember if they were forced to or choose to). Anyway, it has sat empty ever since (with the exception of perhaps a few renters who never moved - I never understood that). Anyway, curbed.com reported a month or two ago that the apartments will again be rental.
