Uh, thanks, I guess...i hadn't really planned on serving them lattes.

This is a serious question. Most caterers want to do your 300 person wedding or corporate event; they don't want to do a small dinner. I want to find someone who will do a SMALL event, do it WELL, at a reasonable PRICE. (Laughing ensues...)

I've used:

1) http://eatlivewell.com/Eat_Live_Well/Home.html - twice for 30-50 ppl
2) http://2peasandapot.com/ - five times for 30-50 ppl.

Luke's Lobster caters. While I haven't had the opportunity yet to have them cater anything for me, I think their food is crazy-good. Amazing Maine-style lobster rolls, chowder, and other similar New England fare. They have a little restaurant on the UWS (83rd and Amsterdam, I believe) and also another somewhere downtown.

Oh, and basic--if you're concerned about sharing your email, just create a gmail account specifically for this. I have a couple different ones I use for posting purposes--everything still stays anonymous.

bramstar that is a very valid point... I actually thought about that... but i m just being lazy... i m happy to refer somebody very good for the job, that organizes exactly that kind of "classy" catering for a small group of people, and I dont profit in any way from that... but I will not make any extra work...
