on my street where no parking is allowed except Sunday, there is a Sonata with special permit which is parked daily. Traffic has to merge and everyone is using horns. This is crazy since it is obvious that the guy/gal has no right for the permit (the car is hardly moved). Complaints to police went nowhere. The abuse of permits a) either interfere with the flow of traffic or demonstrates that no parking regulations are bogus. It hurts RE price since it is a quality of life issue. If we ticket the dog owners for the s---t of their dogs, we should ticket cars with permits and make the user pay the fine. The deterioration of quality of life makes the city undesirable and reduces RE prices.

Isn't anyone who buys in Manhattan well aware of traffic noise? There will be noise and traffic regardless of permits.
