Discussion about The Clayton at 215 West 92nd Street in Upper West Side
I just noticed that nobody ever replied to your query about 215 W 92. I live in the building and, as a real estate broker, have sold many apartments there. (I also have a 2 BR coming on the market in a couple weeks) The finances are fine. The board has always been conservative, doing the necessary to keep the building in good financial and physical shape. The maintenance is pretty reasonable still. This was Rosario Candela's first private commission (as I say in my description for the Street Easy entry), and he blessed us with lots of closets and good-sized rooms, plus some special details (the elevator landings have ceramic tile that mimics oriental carpets) that make it pretty special. Why are the prices so reasonable? They have been very stable during this recession but are now starting to creep up.
Check out my new listing next week and give me a call if you have other questions.
Can a resident of this building speak a little about rodents, roaches, etc.? Particularly with those internal fire escapes -- are those cleaned? Do they create a bug/rodent problem?
The building has a monthly exterminator. I've lived in the building for 28 years and have almost never seen a bug of any kind. Yes, everything is very well-cleaned and cared for. The building has a terrific super and staff. The occasional mouse has made an appearance, but the exterminator is brought in immediately. There's never been much of a problem, and I can say this as someone who was on the board for many years.
Hello, I'm sorry can anyone please gave me the phone number or contact of the buildings administrator please. I wanna know about a relative who lived in that building years ago and maybe he or she could gave me more information.
