Discussion about 155 Franklin Street #2S
Don't worry about the parking garage next door that's going to be developed and will block half of the windows...

HAHA. Checked Google Maps myself this morning and thought the exact same thing. Actually I think the master bedroom will end up having no windows at all. 155 Franklin only 6 stories so that entire S line is at risk. 3S traded back in 09 at what looked like decent buy. Ooops.

It's a shame! It's a gorgeous apartment, and right now it has a beautiful natural light!

Where did you get your information about the parking garage?

Lucy - do street view on Google Maps on Leonard St side (155 Franklin S line actually faces Leonard). The garage site (looks abandoned) is right next door to the east.

That garage site was for sale in 2009 as a development parcel. It will sell as soon as new development picks up.

Does that really matter? You know for sure at some point (probably sooner rather than later) it gets developed. If you knew something would be built in 10 years would you buy now? To me 10 years is no different than say 3. Dangerous game of hot potato before those windows get sealed shut.
