I used to ... uh ... "date" a broker who used vacant apartments for our little get-togethers.

It was pretty hot.

yeah, but most vacant apartments lack TP and soap, no? Or do you carry around a stash just in case?

Oh, now I know why the reverse aroma therapy at that one listing. Silly me, I just thought someone died there.

NYCMatt: it's been years, but I remember hearing something about that on the UWS? West 70's to be exact. Unfurnished. Talk about basic. And they used the kitchen. Who says romance is dead?

Matt -- Did you at least tip well for that? Tell me you are not completely a heartless bastard.

Wait, Matt. You paid the guy? You brought a hooker to an empty apartment? That's how people end up chopped up inside the walls.

Matt,

Did she take more than 6%?

Did she move, sweat, or claim that if you did not climax immediately she has another couple who are ready immediately?

Was there any other positions other than on her ass with a bored disinterested look?

I heard you can tell when they climax because that's when they drop their cell phone.

Did the roof match the lawn?
(it's a real estate question...relax)

I have used my broker card to get into buildings where I knew there were available apartments just to use the bathroom, but only in a dire emergency and I made sure to photograph the apartment. As for hooking up, the subject has been broached but it's not something I would do.

lovely...

now I have to worry about overpaying a broker, and having him/her being a lowlife as well...

oh wait, what was I thinking?

gcondo, calling someone a lowlife for using the bathroom is a bit much, don't you think? As for overpaying, just don't use an agent. Problem solved.

nyc, using a bathroom?? no people do that.

using your job to crap in someone elses toilet, as a professional? yes you are a lowlife with no ethics.

As for brokers, already done.

I have to remember that, all these years later, internet message boards are still for some an outlet to speak to others and behave in a manner they would be embarrassed to show in a public setting.

yes, you should remember that.. after all, you are the one admitting that you use your professional credentials to relieve yourself in someone elses toilet, instead of finding a Starbucks, like the rest of us..

oh well, if you have a perk, I guess you should use it.

You are a credit to your profession.
