WHere to buy- Tempo, 77 Reade, or 16th andd 8th?

And the Chelsea one does not include gym but has a NYSC below for a fee.

Do you like all three neighborhoods equally?

Do you have kids? Are the kids school-aged?

Do you like a more boisterous area, at all times of day & night? Do you like to be near your "play area" after work, or do you like the walk after playing?

Where is work?

Sorry to ask so many questions, but obviously neighborhood is a very personal choice.

Personally, I'd take Chelsea.....especially after answering my questions above.

23rd and 2nd not the best neighborhood ever, 23rd is busy... dont like 77 Reade... I would go for Chelsea... Safer... just a better neighborhood, with more potential... but again that s just my opinion

"23rd and 2nd not the best neighborhood ever." I take it, in light of your claim that Chelsea is "safer," that you somehow think 23rd and 2nd is unsafe? That's just ridiculous. A little dull, maybe, but unsafe? I don't think you have ever been there if you think it is unsafe. The real reason to avoid the Tempo is because it is a shitbox, but don't blame the neighborhood.

I viewed the Tempo and the finshes seemed real nice . I saw the constuction materials also looked ok . Seemed like a good value for the space and finshes. What did you not like? A concern of mine is that is seems as though there are financial issues with the developer. Its been on the market forever and they cannot finish the building . True ,not a desirable area ..however I agree its safe.

The building looks really out of place for the neighborhood and is unlikely to age well. Also, you are right that it has taken them forever to finish the building, which might be a sign of financial distress. Others on the board may have seen the interior finishes and can also give you a more intelligent answer than I can on pricing, etc. I wouldn't call the area "undesirable." It is close to many things, but could use more restaurants and other amenities.

Believe the large building on the NE of 23rd and Third is a large block of low-income housing; the whole stretch from 23-29th and Third is pretty dodgy. Also a very crowded corner with lots of cross-town traffic / noise. Definitely the least appealing of the three locations if you ask me.

I really didn't mind the Tempo. It seemed decent enough and the finishes were adequate. The neighbourhood was in no way unsafe but 23rd is a very busy thoroughfare. My other problem was the lack of a subway close by. 77 Reade...blah. My vote would be for the Chelsea location as well.

sorry I meant "unsafe" as an investment, not at all as a neighborhood.
