Parents are taking a collection for Pre K end of year gift, what is appropriate amount for each parent to give? 15 kids in class, half day, 9-12...Thanks !!

How many teachers? Public or private pre-K? If it's public, you have to consider that for some families, $50 will be a hardship while for others, $200 is spare change.

In NYC public schools, there is a limit to $5/kid. Some people can't even spare $5, so make it voluntary, and ask those who can to make up the difference, up to the limit of $75.
