We looked into them when we were terminating our old management company. Like the above posters, I wasn't particularly impressed. My general impression about the more massive management cos out there is that unless you're a big building, you're likely to be seen as a tiny part of their portfolio and can expect the commensurate attention. If you're under say ~40 units, I'd recommend a smaller, boutique firm that has experience and a deep Rolodex, so to speak.

So who is a good management company for a smaller building?

Hit the nail on the head. Well priced units in some extremely desireable locations (several in townhouses on the ues btw Madison and 5th). You do indeed get what you pay for.

penmark is the worst - arrogant, incompetent and treats owners like renters, and act like they are the owners. worthless. only thing they are good for is harassing people on insurance certificates on deliveries and moves.
