Discussion about
I am looking to buy on the UES, preferably Yorkville area and I am finding that not too many bldgs. accept dogs above a certain weight and a limit of one dog per apartment. We have two dogs one less than 25 pounds and one is 70 pounds (poodle-mix and Golden Retriever). Does anyone know of a dog friendly building in this area that accepts two dogs no size limit. Thank you!
BTW, doorman/ewlevator bldgs. are what we are looking at.
I believe that there is an elevator and doorman rental building on west 67th street that allows apes, and monkey children, so I assume they allow dogs too. No windows in the shower though.
What size apartment are you looking for? 520 E72nd Street does not have a specific limit on the number of pets but there is a trial period and if your pet(s) are deemed a nuisance during that time, there would be a problem. If you know that your pets will make good neighbors too, I have 2 Junior-one sponsor units measuring approx 600 sf (so no board approval required).

1725 york ave...doorman building..driveway...great coop building...i am an owner....how many bedrooms are u looking for?
O yeah..super dog friendly.....no size limits...easy board...
Looking for a Jr 4.
Thanks er1to9 and affrench. I will check them out.
I think yorkville towers or something like that on 86 and 2nd takes all size dogs. Not sure the condition of the building. I know they were renovating a lot of it awhile ago and you also have to deal with the 2nd ave subway but they do have jr 4s. There are definitely lots of blgs up there that take dogs. Perhaps walk around and look at the smaller bldgs especially in the lower 90s
The Metropolitan, 181 East 90th at 3rd Ave. is very dog friendly. We have a dog as do just about all of our neighbors, several have two.
Thanks for the info guys. Do not have the funds to purchase @ 181 E 90th, there's nothing less than 2 million dollars. I checked into Yorkville Towers awhile ago by e-mailing an agent and the agent said two dogs are a no.
Anyone know of any dog friendly bldgs in the Lenox Hill area?
what is your price point for a junior 4?
6 to 7K
Meant 600 to 700K
525 east 72nd allows dogs, we lived on the 30th floor for 3 years. loved it except for the hike to the 68th st subway when they cancelled the shuttle service.
Thank you deanc. I will check it out. At one time we lived @ 515 E 72nd - Riverterrace.
Didn't realize that's the Solow bldg and a rental. We want to purchase. Thanks anyhow...........
