Can you explain why sheetrock built-ins are conducive to mold? That just doesnt make sense

Use wet microfiber cloths to remove the dust. You can even get a version that fits on a sponge mop. Significantly reduces airborne dust while cleaning.

Sheetrock is partially made of paper - mold likes paper. The AC units create condensation, which is then trapped by the sheetrock - and the paper components make that environment mold-friendly. At least that is what I have been told.

Primer's right - plastic sheathing. Make your guys use the kind with zippers in the middle, and be rigorous about making sure the zippers are closed.

Did they use sheetrock to make radiator covers? Then I agree. I have never even seen or heard about someone doing that.

Front Porch, good idea. The zippers are sold at Janovic Paints and are very easy to install
