The prices for the 2 bedrooms seem low given that the maintenance is also extremely low. Does anyone have any info on the building or immediate neighborhood? Must be a catch.. http://streeteasy.com/nyc/building/100-west-94-street-new_york

ex-Mitchell-Lama building ... so many of your neighbors will be lower-earning and/or less-educated than most of the neighborhood; common spaces might be very institutional; apartment finishes very very basic; governance somewhat theatrical; immediately surrounding area looks Stalinist (on the Avenue, anyway).

But that doesn't mean that it's not a good value, relative to whatever else is out there right now. If you pursue, try to find out about upcoming (5-10 years out) capital needs vs. capital reserves.
