Correction- 30 year fixed jumbo with excellent credit
They're still hovering around 4.5%
Wait for 4.25%
A jumbo? 4.5%? Really? For a NYC Co-op? I think it's more 4.75/4.875%....
Depends on your bank.
Many private banks are offering rates as low as 3.9 on jumbos.
We are refinancing a jumbo for our co-op now with our private bank at 5.0%. We have a pretty cushy relationship with our bank and stellar credit so find 3.9% hard to believe.
Apparently your relationship isn't as "cushy" as others'.
Just sayin'.
I know for a fact that BNY/Mellon is quietly doing jumbos for 3.9% for "qualified" depositors.
You just got screwed by your cushy relationship. 5%? Hope you did not pay points for that.

Just curious what you think the rates will be for a 30 yr refi, not jumbo? We currently have 4.375.
Why would you refi that? you are in good shape
