International Preschool on W 76. My son had a great experience there.

West Side YMCA is a fine program.

You can join the Parents League to get a start on how/where to look.

Are you sending your kids private or public?

If public, what school doesn't matter as much.

Below 79th:
IPS, Woodside, West Side Y, Rodeph, MCS, Calhoun, S. Weiss, First Friends, Rocking Horse (now called something else on 69th in the episcopal church space), Blessed Sacrament

Daycare:
Preschool of America, River School

If you're thinking of private, the following schools (none s. of 79th) seem to have a better handle
(reputation-wise) for exmissions:
WSMS, Claremont, Woodside, Mandell (arguable now that they have ongoing), Brownstone
