Discussion about
does anyone have one of these wall/murphy beds? did you get it at resource furniture store? how much did it end up costing you and how fast did you receive it?

I'm wondering too. They look really cool. I'd especially like the "lollipop" foldaway bunk beds for a guest room.

i went to the showroom and the lady there quoted me 8000 for the cheapest one. but as i was reading online i saw someone mention something like 3000 for the cheapest one. so i'm hoping to hear from people who actually got them.

I'm pretty sure the cheapest is closer to $3k. Cash only.

NYRENewbie - aren't these cool? i'm hooked!

3k - would that be for a single/twin bed, i presume, not for queen?

Is there a thickness restriction when the time comes to replace the mattress on these puppys?

Yes- The mattress has to be about 7" thick, and fairly heavy to keep the bed "down" when open . Resource recommends a custom made memory foam mattress made in Italy which they estimated for about $ 2000. I decided to go to the foam place across the street and had custom cut mattress made to measure for $ 400 - But i now wish i went with Resource's recommendation because my mattress is A a little too light (The bed's feet barely touches the ground when the bed is empty) B the foam i chose is a little hard- I'm used to it thought.

i dont see the Apollo - is that a discontinued model or was it replaced by another - can you check?
so mattress and all it came to 3k? did you get just the bed, without the possible desk/couch attachment?

Hey- Sorry i guess it's called the Ulisse (too many greek gods!) i think it was about $ 3000 plus mattress plus installation. Expensive but worthed i get compliments non stop- I hate traditional "murphy beds"

very nice, thank you for the info! :)
i'm strongly considering one of these, you are right - traditional murphy beds are ugly as sin - these are modern and fresh.

so i presume you got just the bed, no couch?

Has anyone ever disassembled their Clei wall bed for moving? Are there any videos on how to do this?

I believe the closing costs calculator on howz-it addresses this.
