Where available FIOS is taking over the world. The only times I see Time Warner truck is picking up old disconnected equipment. Serivice is great.

The guys on strike work on the antiquated wire-line division, not the cable company. In a few years, they'll be out of work or in different industries.

Time Warner isn't phenomenal, but they have better pricing and options than most. Definitely look into them.

If you don't have FIOS, what is your option besides Time Warner Cable? RCN?

When I had Time Warner in NJ, I always lost my internet whenever it rained or snowed. Never had that problem with FIOS. Plus FIOS gave me a modem with a wirelss router built in. Time Warner did not. Their equipment is antinquated compared to FIOS. Only good thing about Time Warner is that the phone does not work off of electric, so you still have it in a power outage. With FIOS, it does, but you have an 8 hour back up battery.
