This building has the worst construction of any building in Williamsburg. One broker told me he has never come across such abysmal workmanship in his entire life. For example the last two year the management of 20 Bayard has been struggling to contain water leaks. It occur every time at heavy rain and it has led to mold, paint falling from the ceiling and wooden floors being destroyed. The water enters from an unknown place at the top of the building and then travels through the walls into multiple apartments. The first couple of renters have just left because they couldn’t take the incompetence of the Super and management anymore that so far have not manage to address the issue.

The new owners fixed all water issues and they are upgrading the building.

"Upgrading" isn't the answer. The building was bad from the start. You're just putting lipstick on a pig.

I'm confused: for you, is that a good thing or a bad thing?
