Hello, yes, I recently had clients, as a buyer's broker, with 2 Labrador Retrievers who had several purchase options on the Upper East Side. (We have a Golden and a pit bull and a cat ourselves, and an apt on the UES.)

The thing is---you just simply must be ready to purchase financially if we're talking co-op. You can't be balanced on the edge of board rejection financially AND also walk in with 2 big dogs--you need a strong board package to make it easier for them to say yes.

look into 400 East 85th. I have seen big dogs in there but don't know if they are grandfathered or if there is a limit on the number of dogs.

The 2 high rise buildings on the corner of 93rd and First seem to allow big dogs.

Since you have such a specific need, I think using a buyer's broker is a good call, and I get the impression from her(?) posts on these boards that she is knowledgeable about the UES and can make the process easier.

One tip, since you've got the lead time: Make sure the dogs can behave themselves if the board chooses to meet them. Goldens have a "good" reputation, but if they, say, get out of control when walking into a room full of strangers, now is the time to socialize them out of that.
