$525,000 -- HA!! They make this place sound a luxury building ("full service"), when in fact, it's subsidized, middle-income housing. Which is not to say it's a terrible building -- it's quite nice for what it is -- but let's be honest here. Yes, there's a park across the street, but it's also surrounded by city housing projects in every direction. The "doorman" is a security guard, the "courtyard" is a tiny garden with a table and a couple of chairs, and you have to pay to use the "fitness room". As for the apartment, the kitchen is ridiculously small and NARROW -- you can't open the refrigerator door if the oven door or the dishwasher door is open. In fact, if the dishwasher door is open, you're stuck -- can't even get past it! Kitchen counters are cheap laminate -- ugh. Do owners realize that the housing market had plummeted and that East Harlem is somewhere near the bottom? You could find a comp in the neighborhood for $100,000 - $150,000 less!! Keep looking. This one ain't worth it. [less]
