I sense a bubble in the rental market.

Are you asking for a complete list?

Is accepting VISA your sole criterion for apartment hunting?

hey why not get points from your rental? It's a couple of free flights a year domestically or one trip to Europe

I'm not doubting the benefits.

I just think that in the myriad factors that go into apartment hunting in NYC, using that as an initial criterion is pretty odd.

I don't think its odd at all.

That's two free round trip business class tickets every 12-18 months if you live in a Glenwood building. Maybe even international, if you live in one of the fancier ones.

Just because the card works now doesn't mean it will work in the future. Or, perhaps the card will still be accepted but the T&C's re-written so as to remove rent from the class of purchases that earn rewards. Issuing banks are looking for any way to make up for lost revenues due to Dodd-Frank.

Issuing banks love that people charge their rent on their credit cards.

And just to give back miles?
