$11MM revenue for this pre-school, 50% from the federal government.

Clearly we need more taxes.

Lovely, a karate chop to a photographer with a second arrest? Something tells me that someone has not yet asimilated.

They tried to rent the 100 RSD one at prices with lots of 8's:

http://streeteasy.com/nyc/rental/587305-condo-100-riverside-boulevard-lincoln-square-new-york
10/19/2009 Listed by Prudential Elliman at $18,800.
11/21/2009 Price decreased by 15% to $15,888.
01/02/2010 Listing is no longer available.

I doubt they were successful given the 2.5x-bigger, higher-floor, better-located competition a few buildings down:

04/03/2009 Listed by Warburg at $18,000.
09/09/2009 Price decreased by 11% to $16,000.
10/07/2009 Listing is no longer available.
10/22/2009 Re-listed by Warburg.
11/05/2009 Listing rented.

I wonder if they're paying their lawyer $888.88?

inoanda; the number eight is lucky in chinese culture. Several of them are considered very lucky. Too bad the bail set for each was only 750K. That wasn't lucky. But wait, if the one that beat up the photographer gets out at 50K bail, that makes 800K! See how it all works out?

All three manhattan apts are likely tax abated. This govt just can't get a break. But it does help explain why some buyers are content to pay asking price -- who cares if you are paying with the govt's money.

Good point.
