They just changed the name again, now its called the louver house, or something like that.
this should have a huge impact on sales

i saw the apartments several weeks ago, they are very non-cookie-cutter, with nice layouts, very airy, good light, and have 2 balconies.

re: that issue you reference, the broker basically said you should get your own inspector to examine the building. to me, it seems risky to purchase an apartment in a building that has such specific negative publicity associated with it, unless you want to use this as a bargaining chip.

either way a very thorough inspection seems warranted.

I'm not sure how an inspection would disclose all these type of problems .

Particularly how could an inspection predict leaks, structural damage under the sheetrock?

The other thing thats really scary is that although many of these problems will not be the sole financial responsibilty of the individual unit owner, the bldg is small (10 units?) so all these expensive repairs will be divided by 10.

You can see rusting external light fixtures from the street. Not a good sign.
