Sketchy Brokers - Domain

Neither Domain nor Ardor are exactly standard-bearers for the RE industry. Domain is totally sketchy. I don't how they stay in business frankly. Ardor is marginally better and incapable of posting floorplans it seems. I wouldn't deal with either.

Domain and Ardor are separate companies, as far as I know. I don't think it's a bait and switch. I think it's a FSBO and they are both buyer's brokers fishing for clients. I'd check out the Times and Craigslist to try and find the actual seller.

I would consider Domain the sleazier of the two for jacking up the square footage 10%.

My point was not about Ardor - they just happen to have the actual photos of the apt. Ardor is more of a rental agency anyway and actually have some proprietary rental listings even though they are clearly trolling craigslist for this "sale."

Domain is def baiting and switching. Check out the photos they are using to represent the actual property (then check out the actual photos on Ardor). Ridiculous - if I actually took the time to meet a broker who showed me this overpriced POS property, I would be infuriated!! Also, check out the dimensions - the living room is 12x15 and the bedroom is 10x12. That had better be one unbelievably huge eat-in-kitchen to bring the square footage to something within the realm of 450 square feet - never mind 600 - never mind 660!!

On a different note, this hyper aggressive pricing for such a crap apt is pretty typical FSBO nonsense - and no, I'm not a broker...

I like the old lady head shot in the Ardor pics . .. is she a housekeeper that comes with the place?
