Kitchen reno and other work

I live in NY part-time and have just bought a 1-bed coop apt. I want to redo the kitchen (same layout, new tile floor, tile backsplash, Ikea cabinets, ceasarstone counter, appliances) as well as painting the whole place (800 sf) and a bit of electrical (replace some outlets and fixtures) and carpentry (possibly replacing some baseboards, possibly building in a banquette in a small dining area). I'm not sure how to proceed: should I get a GC to do most/all of the work? Or is this likely too small a job to attract any interest? Is it better to find people who specialize in a particular kind of work (ie, do kitchen separately)? Any recs or advice greatly appreciated.
