Gas or electric dryer?

Discussion about
We bought a prewar coop apartment with a combination washer/dryer, which is in the kitchen. I want to replace it with modern stackable separates. The space is adequate. However, this combo unit runs on standard 120VAC electricity. So, I have two choices: 1. Get a gas dryer, which means hiring a plumber to run a new gas line from (I assume) near the cooktop, which is just across a few feet of tiled... [more]

I'm not sure, but exhaust from the dryer might have a considerably higher moisture content than the oven so u might need to think about corrossion.

Gas is cheaper to run, but the gas dryers cost more to buy.
