Discussion about
I am thinking of the possibility of putting in ceiling light fixtures in a room that has none. Has anyone done this before? Is it considered a major renovation and is there a ballpark of how much this may cost? Thanks.

Anyone know any good lighting consultants in manhattan. I want to do some lighting renovations in my prewar apartment-UES and need someone who can advise on placement.

If there is no existing fixture there it can cost 500-1000 plus the fixture. Depends on how well you want to replaster the walls. Also depends on the type of material in your ceiling.

Homerenovation - there are a few ways to make lighting interesting while not forcing you to make compromise with your taste. We did two pre-war (UWS) with very different clients. How big is your place and how radical the renovation?

Typically, you can bypass the board. only the management companies want your contractors to register with their insurance and licencing. This hastle is part of my service....www.studio87.com
